Visita Iglesia Iloilo (June 4-6, 2010) Part I

June 4, 2010-Friday

I decided to go to different churches in Iloilo province. First destination is the southernmost town of Iloilo, the municipality of San Joaquin which is 60 kms. from Iloilo City.

The San Joaquin Parish in San Joaquin, Iloilo under the protection of their patron saint, St. Joachim, the father of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Second destination is the famous Miag-ao Church which is one of the UNESCO Heritage Site. Miag-ao is 40 kms. from Iloilo City

Third destination is the San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish in Guimbal Iloilo which is 29 kms. from Iloilo City.

Fourth destination is the San Juan de Sahagun Parish in Tigbauan, Iloilo which is 22 kms. from Iloilo City.

Fifth is the Immaculate Conception Parish of Oton which is 14 kms. from Iloilo City.

After lunch, we decided to go to Passi City in the northern part of Iloilo. Passi City is 50 kms. from Iloilo City. I didn't have the chance to take a picture of its facade due to heavy rain.
